Opening soon — join the waitlist Built by a crocheter who was tired of a notebook and four apps

Every tool you reach for, in one place.

What yarn you already own. Which row you were on. How much a blanket will take. The chart, the counter, the shopping list — all in one app that works when the signal doesn’t, and remembers where you left off.

Waitlist members get 2 months of full access, free at launch.

The everyday stuff

Everything you’re already juggling, in one place.

Most of this lives on scraps of paper, in your camera roll, and in your head. It works better together.

Your yarn stash

Photograph the label and it fills in the brand, weight and yardage for you. Then you can actually answer “do I have enough of this?” from the shop.

scan the label

Shopping list

Add what a pattern needs in one tap, then check it off in the aisle. It keeps working with no signal, and catches up when you’re home.

On the hook

Row counters that don’t reset when the phone sleeps, and a quiet timer that tells you how long a project really took.

Project journal

What you made, who it was for, and exactly which yarn went into it — so next time you can make it again without guessing.

made for whom

Pattern tracker

Tap a row when you finish it. Put the phone down for three weeks, pick it up on a plane with no signal, and it still knows exactly where you were.

Charts & PDF

Charts that read like a map instead of a wall of abbreviations — and a clean printable copy when you’d rather have paper beside you.

The bit you won’t find elsewhere

Two things nothing else does.

These are the reason people keep the app on their home screen.

Turn a photo into a blanket

Point it at a photo — a dog, a sunset, a grandchild — and it works out the grid, matches every color to yarn you can actually buy, and tells you how many skeins of each. Then it writes the rounds out row by row and ticks them off as you go.

The photo never leaves your phone.

colors matched to real yarn

Sketch a shape, get the pattern

Draw the outline of a ball, a bowl, a gnome — and the round-by-round instructions write themselves from your own gauge. Watch it turn in 3D as you go, in single, half double or double crochet, and export a print file if you want a stand for it.

Or type your rows in and let it check the math.

it does the counting
Both hands welcome

Crochet the way your hands do.

Left-handed crocheters usually get left over — squinting at a right-handed diagram and flipping it in their head. Not here. Every lesson illustration and pattern chart mirrors for you, so what you see is exactly what you make.

Coming next

Stitch School is on its way.

Crochet Bobble started as a way to teach my family to crochet, and that half is still coming — guided lessons that end in real stitches, where every level you finish leaves you a square, and the squares become a blanket. See what’s coming, and join that list →

Learn to crochet by making one blanket.

The lessons half of Crochet Bobble. Real lessons that end in real stitches — every level you finish leaves you a square, and at the end they join into the blanket you learned on. Your progress is fabric, not videos watched.

The path

Learning that actually builds.

Every skill sits on the one before it — so you're never staring at a pattern wondering where to even begin.

1

Master the foundations

The free Foundations lessons take you from holding the hook to your first neat rows. Watch, try, repeat — at your own pace, with Bobble cheering you on.

2

Unlock real patterns

As your skills grow, the pattern library opens up. Follow along row by row, with charts that read like a map instead of a wall of abbreviations.

3

Keep the momentum

Daily streaks and badges make it a habit. Small stitches, most days, quietly add up to finished things you're proud of.

Real things, from day one

What you'll actually make.

This isn't stitches for the sake of stitches. Every skill points at something you can hold, wear, or give away.

A washcloth

Your very first finished thing — flat, forgiving, and genuinely useful.

The Square Journey

Every level you finish leaves you a square — ribbed, bobbled, laced, yours. Any colors work; the border makes them family. At the end they join into the blanket you learned on.

A separate list, just for Stitch School — so you hear about the lessons and nothing else. The toolbox is open in the meantime.

What's inside

Everything a crocheter needs, in one app.

One friendly app for keeping track of your yarn and your rows, following real patterns, looking things up, and turning your own ideas into something you can make — on your phone or your laptop, at whatever pace suits you. The lessons are on their way too.

Our story

Made by a family who loves fiber.

Crochet Bobble is a Rush Family Fiber project — built to put everything a crocheter juggles into one place that works when the signal doesn’t.

It started with a notebook, a camera roll and four apps that did not talk to each other. What yarn is in the cupboard. Which row you were on three weeks ago. How much a blanket will actually take. Whether that photo would even work as a chart.

None of that is hard on its own. All of it is easier in one place — so we built the thing we wanted: your stash, your projects, your charts and your own designs, with the counter that keeps counting when the bars run out.

It's made for real hands, too. Left-handed? Everything mirrors. On the couch with no signal? It works offline. And the lessons half, Stitch School, is still on its way for anyone who wants to start at the very beginning.

Patient

No rushing, no shame. Repeat a lesson as many times as you like.

Forgiving

Pull a stitch back out and try again — that's just part of it.

For every hand

Right or left, the app mirrors to match how you crochet.

Yours to keep

Your progress and projects stay with you, on your device.

Meet Bobble

Your coach through the whole journey. He cheers you on, explains the tricky bits, and never once sighs when you frog a row and start over. He's the friend who's just a few stitches ahead of you — and genuinely happy you're here.

Come make something with us.

We open the doors Winter 2026 — get on the list.

Before you start

Questions, answered.

Everything a hesitant beginner tends to wonder. Still stuck? The contact page is right there.

When does Crochet Bobble launch?

We're aiming for Winter 2026 — the final stitches are going in now. Join the waitlist and you'll be the first to know the day it opens, with founding-member perks for early sign-ups.

Do I need to know how to crochet already?

Right now, yes — the toolbox is built for people who already have yarn in their hands: your stash, your counters, your charts and your own designs. The lessons half, Stitch School, is still being built, and you can join that list separately.

What do I need to get started?

Whatever you already own. There is no kit to buy and nothing is written for one hook size — you tell it your yarn and hook and it works from those. If you want to try the photo blanket maker on day one, have a photo you love ready: good light, a plain background, a few strong colors.

I'm left-handed — will this work for me?

Yes. Set your handedness once, and every lesson illustration and pattern chart mirrors to match. What you see on screen is exactly what your hands do.

Does it work on my phone?

It's built for your phone first. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like a real app — including offline, so your patterns and your row counter keep working with no signal.

Can I use it on a computer too?

Absolutely. It works in any modern browser on desktop or tablet, and your progress follows your account across devices.

What if I get stuck on a stitch?

Every stitch has its own reference page with the chart symbol, what it does, and how it is written in both US and UK terms — free, and searchable. Frogging (pulling it out) is always allowed; your stitch count keeps everything your hands have made either way.

How much does it cost?

The stash, the counters, the shopping list and the stitch reference are free forever. One plan opens the studios — photo blankets, the pattern builder, charts and PDFs — and it will include Stitch School when that opens, at no extra cost. See the pricing page.

Say hello

We'd love to hear from you.

Questions, ideas, or just want to show off your latest project? Drop us a line.

Send us an email

A real person — hi, I'm Sonjia — reads every message, and I reply within two business days.

Email hello@crochetbobble.com

Tell me what you're working on, what's confusing, or what you wish the app did. Beginner questions are genuinely welcome.

Beta program

Help shape Crochet Bobble.

We're looking for a small group of crocheters — people who already have yarn in their hands — to try the app before launch and tell us what clicks, what's confusing, and what's missing.

Early access

Use the full app before anyone else — free for the whole beta.

A direct line

Your feedback comes straight to me — I read every word, and it genuinely changes what gets built.

Free for good

This first group keeps free access for as long as the app exists — our thank-you for helping early.

To be clear about the big one: testers in this first group never pay for Crochet Bobble. Not during the beta, and not after launch when everyone else does. That covers everything the app offers at launch — all the lessons, patterns and tools.

Things we add later that cost real money to run may be paid extras, and we’ll always say so plainly rather than quietly moving something you already have behind a charge. The full details are in the Beta Tester Terms — they’re short, plain English, and worth the two minutes before you apply.

One honest warning: this is test software, so things can go wrong — and once or twice, they probably will. Your progress could be lost.

So the app gives you Download my data, which saves a copy of everything to your phone in one tap, and it’ll nudge you about once a week so you don’t have to remember. If anything ever does go missing, send me that file and I can put it back. That’s the whole reason the button is there.

What to have handy

Nothing to buy — if you already crochet you own all of it. What helps is having the raw material for each tool in front of you.

  • A photo you’d love as a blanket A pet, face on, is the one everybody asks for. Good light, a plain background, a few strong colors — subtlety does not survive a chart.
  • The yarn you already own The stash is far easier to judge with real skeins in your hands and real labels to scan.
  • Your hooks Whatever you actually reach for. Nothing is written for one size.
  • Something already on your hook A half-finished project is the honest way to try the tracker — it has to hold your place while life interrupts.

Starting completely from scratch? Say so on the form below and we’ll make sure you know exactly what to get.

No wrong answer — it just helps us know who might need a hand getting started.

We'll only use your details to run the beta and email you about it. Privacy Notice.
